Dr Dhesi Baha Raja is a Public Health Specialist who is passionate about data science and technology. One of Dr Dhesi’s key contribution to Malaysia was the Data Managing tools for Health Information Technology Programs in Malaysia that organises birth data, immunisation coverage & tracks high risks pregnancies in real time with implementation in over 50 hospitals and 800 health clinics in Malaysia. Globally, Dr Dhesi won first prize in Big Data Analytics by IBM & Microsoft as well as Global Impact Competition and was sponsored by Google to the National Aeronautic & Space Administration (NASA) in Silicon Valley, California. During his graduate studies, he co-founded AIME (Artificial Intelligence in Medical Epidemiology) that has the capability of identifying deadly outbreaks 3 months in advance & geo-locating them up to 400-meter radius. Dr Dhesi was selected by Forbes International as the Top 40 World Changers, acknowledgement as an exemplary by the Clinton Foundation, Winner of the Pistoia Life Science Innovations Award 2016 in King’s College London, and was even awarded Top 8 Young Health Innovator by Harvard School of Public Health 2017, and MIT Top 10 Innovator Award 2017.
